Originally from Birmingham Martin moved to Cornwall in 2004 to escape City life.
Whilst working as an engineer Martin had the desire to paint and would do so as much as possible outside of work. However, over the last five years, he decided to dive headfirst into painting and has been creating some beautiful paintings using watercolours and acrylic. From his paintings, he makes prints and cards which are all printed on locally sourced materials. Martin also does commissions of portraits from photographs.
At the age of 63, Martin is a perfect example of how it’s never too late to follow your passion and learn something new. As well as dedicating most of his time to his artwork Martin has recently started attending art classes to learn new techniques and processes.
Martin will be making his debut at our Town markets on Saturday 7th October and will return on Saturday 4th November and Saturday 2nd December. So, there are a number of opportunities to pick something up for Christmas.
