A brand-new event is heading to Redruth this summer, and it’s all about celebrating the town’s young people. Youth Fest 2025, led by the Redruth Youth Council and supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, will take over East End Park and Playing Fields on Saturday 30th August with a packed programme of workshops, performances and activities. This exciting new event builds on the legacy of the town’s much-loved Fun Day, bringing a fresh focus on youth voices and creativity.
Running from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, the free event invites the community to join in an action-filled day, designed and delivered by young people themselves.
Live entertainment and hands-on activities
Visitors can expect live music and performing arts throughout the day, including circus skills and stilt walking. There’ll be opportunities to try out skateboarding and BMX, get creative with arts and crafts workshops, or simply enjoy some face painting, games and interactive zones.
For those seeking something more relaxing, a quiet zone will offer chilled activities in a calmer setting.
Youth Fest will also feature local youth artists and give young people a chance to explore future career paths with demonstrations from the police, coastguard, fire service and health professionals.
Food, accessibility and important info
There’ll be food stalls on site throughout the day. While the event is family-friendly and accessible to those with mobility difficulties or using wheelchairs, there is no parking on site, so attendees are advised to plan ahead.
The event will be held at East End Park and Playing Fields, located on Drump Road, Redruth, TR15 1PR.
