Story Adventurers: Creative Half-Term Workshop for 6–8s

Calling all Story Adventurers looking for a fun and creative February half-term activity! This hands-on workshop invites children aged 6–8 to explore The Incredible Book Eating Boy by Oliver Jeffers through a mix of word games, drama, drawing, writing, making, and doing.
All materials are provided (fingers crossed the boy hasn’t eaten all the paper!), and children just need to bring their imagination and a packed lunch. The workshop is designed to be engaging, playful, and inspiring, giving young writers and storytellers the chance to explore creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment. Carve Club – Intro to Lino Printmaking

Carve Club is a relaxed, monthly lino printmaking session designed to help you slow down and get absorbed in the rhythmic, meditative process of carving and printing. This introductory workshop is ideal for beginners and those curious about exploring printmaking in a friendly, supportive setting.
Led by Erin from Pick Pretty Paints, the session will cover traditional carving techniques, mark-making, and ways to develop your own visual language. This February’s theme, Shoreline Scenes, will explore plotting and planning a lino block, breaking up compositions, and taking inspiration from coastal shapes, textures, and found objects.
