Ever wondered how we look after the collections here at Kresen Kernow? Join us in January for some extra behind-the-scenes tours, featuring the John James Morris diaries that were recently added to our collections.

Rave Om Ecstatic Dance at Scorrier House Cornwall
25th January
Rave OM is a conscious dance event that is part dance party, part rave-ritual, and part movement meditation. This sober gathering reclaims music as the high and puts the community at its heart. The two-hour ecstatic dance session is an invitation to let go in a non-judgemental space, unwinding your body and mind as we come together to celebrate the magic of movement.

Cold, Dark Matter (A Theatrical Performance)
1st February
There’s a shed in that field. It’s long forgotten. Unloved some would say. There’s nothing really important about that shed. After all, it’s just a shed… Or is it? This is the story of one man’s infatuation with an abandoned shed, that according to one curious stranger, will soon be blown up.

Redruth Soup Night
3rd February
Soup night is a chance to have a relaxed and friendly evening out in Redruth and do something lovely for someone at the same time. Come along, enjoy some Grow Box soup and Berryman’s bread, and help choose who’ll come away from the evening with a chunk of cash!

Do you have a question for your local councillor? Want to find out more about what your Councillor does? Once a month, there will be a ‘meet your Councillor’ session in Redruth Library on a Saturday from 10.30am – 12.30pm. *Sometimes and locations may vary depending on events happening in Redruth.

Simply Wedding Events Fair

This exciting event is the perfect opportunity for soon-to-be brides and grooms to explore the latest wedding trends and connect with top-notch suppliers. Located at the stunning Penventon Park Hotel, this showcase will feature an array of wedding-related exhibits, including beautiful dresses, elegant decorations, delicious cakes, and more.

HELL’S BELLS (A Theatrical Performance)
28th February
As the body of a lighthouse keeper mysteriously washes ashore, covered in strange markings, Ferelith’s seaside holiday takes an unexpected turn. Taking a break from the tedium of her holiday and unable to resist meddling in the police investigation, she soon finds herself amidst a peculiar web of events. But as things grow increasingly unusual, her legendary powers of intuition begin to fail her.
