Design a Library Workshop: Opportunity for Young People (11–17)

Got something you’d love to run at the library? Redruth Library (working with Kresen Kernow) is looking for 6 students aged 11–17 who live in Redruth Parish to pitch a creative workshop idea for other young people. If you’re selected, you’ll work with a professional artist to turn your idea into a real workshop for up to 15 peers. The workshops will run between April and December 2026, and you’ll receive a £40 payment for taking part.

The total time commitment is around 5 hours, including meeting the artist and helping deliver the session. Parental or guardian consent is required, and shortlisted students will be invited to a short interview in January. If you need help completing the application (including alternative formats), email , call 01872 326385, or pop into Redruth Library and ask to speak to the Senior Library Officer.
